Privacy Notice

This notice explains what personal data greenadvisory.eu collects, why it is collected, and the rights you have over it. It describes the site as it currently operates. We collect very little.

Last updated: 20 August 2026.

Who is responsible

This website is operated by GreenAdvisory. For visitors in the European Union, GreenAdvisory Belgium — Square de Meeus 38-40, 1000 Brussels — acts as the controller of personal data collected through this site.

You can reach us on any data protection matter at contact@greenadvisory.eu.

What we collect, and why

Enquiries submitted through the contact form

When you use the contact form we receive the details you choose to enter — including your name, your email address, and the content of your message. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to discuss a potential engagement. We do not use it for unsolicited marketing.

Newsletter subscriptions

If you subscribe to our analysis, we collect your email address in order to send it. Subscriptions are handled by Automattic’s subscription service. Every message includes an unsubscribe link, and you may withdraw your consent at any time.

Technical and audience data

Our hosting provider records standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and reliability. The site also uses Jetpack Stats to measure aggregate traffic — which pages are read, and roughly where readers come from. We do not use this to build individual profiles, and we do not run advertising or cross-site tracking.

Details of the cookies actually set by this site are in our Cookie Policy.

Legal bases

  • Enquiries — our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and, where applicable, steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
  • Newsletter — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • Security and server logs — our legitimate interest in keeping the site available and secure.
  • Audience measurement — consent, where required for non-essential analytics.

Service providers and international transfers

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. A small number of providers process data on our behalf in order to run the site:

  • Automattic Inc. — website hosting (WordPress.com), the subscription service, and Jetpack Stats.
  • Google LLC — the site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. As a result, Google receives your IP address when a page is displayed.

These providers are established in the United States, so using this site involves a transfer of personal data outside the European Economic Area. Such transfers rely on the safeguards those providers put in place, including the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with the matter raised and to maintain a record of our professional correspondence. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs and aggregate statistics are kept according to our providers’ standard retention periods.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation you may request access to your personal data, ask us to correct or erase it, ask us to restrict how we use it, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and request a copy in a portable format. Where processing rests on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting what was done beforehand.

Write to contact@greenadvisory.eu and we will respond. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Belgium this is the Data Protection Authority (Autorité de protection des données / Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit), Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels.

Changes and contact

We will update this notice if the way the site handles personal data changes, and will revise the date above when we do. Questions about this notice can be sent to contact@greenadvisory.eu.
