Third-party requests
Some content is requested from other companies’ servers when a page loads. These requests are not cookies, but they do reveal your IP address to the provider concerned, so we list them here for completeness.

Consent
Cookies that are strictly necessary to deliver the site do not require your consent. Analytics is non-essential, and we should be plain about how it currently works: the Jetpack Stats request described above is made when a page loads, and this site does not yet present a consent banner, so that request is not gated behind a prior opt-in. A consent mechanism is being implemented. Until it is in place you can prevent the request by blocking stats.wp.com in your browser or with any standard tracker-blocking extension, and declining it costs you access to no part of this site.
Controlling cookies yourself
Every major browser lets you see the cookies a site has set, delete them, and block future ones — usually under Settings, then Privacy. Blocking the language cookie will not prevent you from reading the site; it will simply stop remembering your language choice between pages.
